Liverpool suffered a humiliating 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa


Rabindra Dhungel, 6 October 2020. Defending champions Liverpool have suffered a humiliating defeat in Premier League football. Liverpool suffered a humiliating 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday night.

Olivier Watkins scored a hat-trick to beat visiting Liverpool at home in Villa Park. Jack Grealis scored twice and John McGinn and Rose Bakerley scored once each. Mohamed Salah returned two goals for Liverpool.

Aston Villa took the lead in the fourth minute of the game. Oli gave the home side the lead by scoring on a pass from Grays. In the 22nd minute, Oli doubled the lead by scoring his second individual goal with a pass from Graialis.

Salah scored for Liverpool in the 33rd minute. Oliye completed a hat-trick in the 39th minute to give Liverpool a 4-1 lead in the first half. Buckley scored in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute, Salah scored on a pass from Roberto Firminho to make it 5-2.

Graialis scored in the 66th minute. Grealis scored his second individual goal in the 75th minute to give Aston Villa a 7-2 victory.

Liverpool have also suffered their first defeat of the season. Liverpool, who have played four games, are fifth in the table with nine points.

Aston Villa, who have played three games, are second in the table with nine points after winning all three games in a row.
