Toyota’s SUV ‘public, starting price of Rs 11 million, is such a feature


Rabindra Dhungel, 2 October 2020. United Traders Syndicate, the authorized dealer of Toyota vehicles, has started selling ‘Corolla Cross’ of the SUV segment on Thursday. This car is available in two variants. General Manager of the company Mahesh Kumar M claimed that the car available in two variants will be preferred by Nepali consumers. According to him, the entry level market value of this vehicle is Rs 11 million while the high level value is Rs 13.3 million.

Under the company’s Toyota New Global Architecture ‘TNGA’, the vehicle has a wide cabin and class leading luggage space (418 liters). Clean layout content is connected to the dashboard with soft touch. The car is equipped with Apple CarPlay support nine-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, TFT (thin film transistor) display, panoramic view monitor, powered moonroof, adjustable driver seat and other state-of-the-art technology.


According to the company, the vehicle is fitted with an LED head lamp with daytime running light and has 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The car has seven airbags and the driver can take advantage of the lane departure alert with the help of steering assist, the company said. Through tracing assist, the driver can get dynamic radar cruise control, automatic head lamps, blind spot monitor and other facilities in the vehicle, the company said.

According to the company, the 1.8-liter petrol engine vehicle has 138 braking horsepower and a peak torque capacity of 177 Nm. The company said it is open for bookings and test rides from Thursday. The company has stated that the vehicle connected to the ‘CVT’ transmission machine has the ability to take acceleration quickly.
