Juventus start the new season with a victory in Italian Serie A.
By Rabindra Dhungel, 21 september 2020. Former champions Juventus have made a winning start to the new season in Italian Serie A. Juventus got off to a winning start with a comfortable 3-0 win over Sampdoria at home.
New coach Andrea Pirlo has also made a good start in Serie A. Pirlo has achieved his first success in his training. Dijan Kulasevsky, Leonardo Bonucci and superstar forward Cristiano Ronaldo scored in Juventus’ victory at the Allianz Arena in Turin on Sunday night. One goal was possible in the first half and two in the second half.
Juventus opened the scoring in the 13th minute after holding on to ball possession from the start of the game. Beating two defenders in the penalty box, Ronaldo tried to move the ball forward, but Dijan gave the ball a great finish. Earlier, in the sixth minute of the game, defender Danilo’s shot came out and Juventus missed the lead.
In the 11th minute, Cristiano Ronaldo’s shot from Aaron Ramsey’s pass was saved by Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Oudero. In the 24th minute, Ronaldo’s powerful shot from Ramsey’s pass hit the bar and Juventus failed to double their lead.

In the 53rd minute, Ronaldo’s shot was deflected to Maya Yoshida. In the 59th minute, Juventus could not take advantage of another opportunity. Ronaldo’s shot was deflected off Juan Cordado at Frabotta’s cross. In the 75th minute, Ronaldo could not make good use of the free kick.
Juventus doubled their lead with a goal in the 79th minute. Leonardo Bonucci managed to score from close range in the rebound, even though goalkeeper Emil Oudero saved Weston McKinney’s shot that could not be cleared by the Sampdoria defender from a corner kick.
Alvin Ekdal’s shot was easily controlled by the Juventus goalkeeper in the 83rd minute. Weston reached the goal in the 85th minute. Ronaldo finally scored in the 88th minute to give Juventus a comfortable 3-0 victory. Ronaldo scored from inside the penalty box on a pass from Arona Ramsey.
