Rabindra Dhungel, 7 september 2020. Chip maker Qualcomm has unveiled a new processor targeting computers. Qualcomm has announced the launch of Snapdragon AT-CX Gen 2 FiveG processor in the virtual edition of IFA 2020 which started in Berlin, Germany on Thursday. This processor features FiveG connectivity, excellent performance, multi (day battery life, enterprise grade security, WiFi Six, etc.).
Improved camera, audio technology and AI acceleration make it more original than other competitive processors in the market, the company said. The company claims that it has 50 percent better performance and battery life than Intel’s hybrid core i5. The good thing about this is that the battery of the laptop lasts for many days.
The chip is expected to be used in devices by the end of 2020. Qualcomm’s partners Acer, HP and others will now be able to use this chip in the device. Acer has recently announced that the processor will be used in the first FiveG laptop Spin Seven. ATCX Gen2 FiveG is Qualcomm’s second processor, which provides FiveG connectivity. It has new WiFi Six technology.
The company believes that this new chip will benefit entrepreneurs from large to small and those in the field of study teaching. It also allows IT administrators to manage their computers from anywhere. The chip also supports Microsoft Secure Core PCs and Windows HyperVision. In addition, the chip includes an artificial engine, which supports AI accelerated programs on the computer.
Another important feature is the chip’s ability to record up to 4K HDR video up to 32 megapixel high resolution camera module.
