The Nepal Teachers Federation has expressed serious objection to the admission criteria in the changed class 11. The federation is of the view that it is not justifiable to suddenly change the thematic eligibility criteria for the admission of class 11 at the time of publication of the results of class 10 by making a special decision in the extreme situation of Covid epidemic.
The federation has strongly demanded the concerned parties to make arrangements for admission in class 11 as per last year’s criteria.
The Center for Curriculum Development should have a minimum average grade point of 1.6 to study Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics in Class 11 of General Education and have obtained C plus grade in the compulsory Mathematics, Science and English subjects studied in Class 10. Has done
Similarly, in order to study subjects other than Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics in class 11, the minimum average grade point score is 1.6 and the compulsory mathematics, science and English in class 10 should be D plus grade. . The federation has stated that it has paid serious attention to this provision.
In a press release, FNCCI President Baburam Thapa has demanded the government to create new teaching posts by implementing the new secondary level curriculum from this academic session.
In a statement issued to make public the main issues passed by the sixth meeting of the working committee of the federation’s national committee on September 26, it is heard that the government is still working on matching and redistributing posts instead of following the task force’s recommendation and agreement with the federation. It is said that this has made the federation serious and aggressive.
