2020 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to the World Food Program (WFP)
Rabindra Dhungel, 9 october 2020. The 2020 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to the World Food Program (WFP). On Friday, The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced the award to the WFP.
The award was presented to the WFP in recognition of its efforts to combat hunger, its contribution to improving the situation in war-torn areas, and its role in preventing hunger from becoming a weapon of conflict and war.
The Nobel Peace Prize has already been awarded to 24 organizations. In addition, Nobel Prizes have been announced in five categories so far this year. The Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences will be announced next Monday.
