Brazil-made Yamaha XTZ-150 is set to go on sale in Nepal

Rabindra Dhungel, 3 October 2020. MAW is preparing to unveil a new double sports motorcycle that has been testing in Nepal for a long time. A Brazilian-made Yamaha XTZ-150 is set to go on sale in Nepal, a company source told Meroato. Yamaha’s new adventure bike has a 149.3 cc four-stock, SOHC 2 valve, single cylinder, air cooled, FI engine. It produces 12.3 bhp of power at 7500 rpm and 12.75 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm and has a top speed of 110 kmph.

The XTZ-150 with heavy multi-disc clutch has a 5-speed gearbox. Designed specifically for off-roading, the bike is said to have a mileage of 40 kilometers per liter. The length of this bike is 2049 mm, width is 829 mm and height is 1159 mm while the wheel base of the bike is 1349 mm. The bike weighs 124 kg. The bike has a ground clearance of 234 mm and a seat height of 840 mm. This bike has an 11 liter fuel tank and a 3 liter reserve tank.

The front wheels have 245 mm and the rear 203 mm hydraulic disc brakes. Telescopic front and rear 160mm mono (cross rear scale suspension) with 19-inch front and 17-inch double purpose wheels at the rear. In Nepal, the motorcycle will compete directly with the Honda XR 150L.
