A report by South Korean publishing house The Alec cites industry sources as saying that the Galaxy A72 will have a Penta camera setup. It will have a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with three times the optical zoom, a five-megapixel macro lens and another five-megapixel sensor.
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy A72 will have a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The report also claims that the Galaxy A52 will be made public along with the Galaxy A72. It will have a quad-core camera setup like the Galaxy A51. The Samsung Galaxy A72 will not be the world’s first smartphone with a five-camera setup. HMD Global has already set up a Penta camera setup with five similar sensors in the Nokia Nine PureView.
According to a recent report, the Galaxy A72 will be the first A-Series smartphone with optical image stabilization of 9AIS. Samsung plans to bring OIS technology to A-Series high-end models next year.
