Samsung Galaxy A72 with Penta camera setup to be unveiled by mid-2021

Rabindra Dhungel, 30 september 2020. The Samsung Galaxy A72 will be the company’s first smartphone with five sensors on the back. It is claimed that this smartphone will be made public by mid-2021. Samsung will not start the Penta camera setup from its flagship smartphone. Instead, it will be launched through Galaxy A72. Which is expected to come in the mid-range segment.

The Galaxy A72 is seen as an upgraded version of the Galaxy A71. Which came on the market earlier this year. A report by South Korean publishing house The Alec cites industry sources as saying that the Galaxy A72 will have a Penta camera setup. It will have a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra wide angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with three times the optical zoom, a five-megapixel macro lens and another five-megapixel sensor.

According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy A72 will have a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The report also claims that the Galaxy A52 will be made public along with the Galaxy A72. It will have a quad-core camera setup like the Galaxy A51. The Samsung Galaxy A72 will not be the world’s first smartphone with a five-camera setup. HMD Global has already set up a Penta camera setup with five similar sensors in the Nokia Nine PureView.

According to a recent report, the Galaxy A72 will be the first A-Series smartphone with optical image stabilization of 9AIS. Samsung plans to bring OIS technology to A-Series high-end models next year.
