Cable cars are being constructed in two places in Kathmandu
Rabindra Dhungel, 29 september 2020. Two companies have applied to the Department of Industry to build only cars in two places in Kathmandu Valley. Preparations are underway to build only cars in Phulchowki and Nagarjan of Lalitpur. Both the companies, which have 100 per cent indigenous investment, have expressed their commitment to invest in the industry department. Now these companies will start construction after conducting feasibility study, DPR. The Fulchowki will be constructed at Godavari in Lalitpur. It is said that Rs. 660 million will be required for this.
The company has mentioned that it will serve 1.137 million people. Similarly, the only car to be built in Nagarjuna will be ‘View Nagarjuna Kevalkar Pvt.’ The company will have an investment of Rs 660 million and 68 people will get jobs. The company aims to serve 1.12 million people. The upper station of the cable car will be in Nagarjuna Municipality Ward No. 1 Panchal while the lower station will be in Jamchi.
