By Rabindra Dhungel, 28 september 2020. Led by new coach Ronald Koeman, Barcelona have made a winning start to the new season of Spanish La Liga. In Sunday’s match, Barcelona defeated Villarreal 4-0.
Ansu Fati was the hero in the game. He made the first two for Barcelona. He also won a penalty for Barcelona, which was converted into a goal by captain Lionel Messi. At the end of the first half, Messi’s cross was inserted by Pau Torres into his own post and scored a suicide goal.
Messi has become the sixth player to score in 17 La Liga seasons. Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos also achieved the feat on Saturday.
In other matches, Levante beat Osasuna 3-1 and Athletic Bilbao beat Ibar 2-1. Celta Vigo and Real Valladolid drew as Sevilla beat Cadiz 3-1.
