They defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 on Saturday night to clinch their third consecutive victory in the league. Dominic Calvert Levin and Richardson scored a goal each to give Everton the win at Crystal Palace’s home ground, Selhurst Park Stadium. Cheikhou Kouyate returned a goal for the home team.
All three goals of the game were scored in the first half. In the tenth minute of the game, the visiting team Everton took the lead. Calvert Levin scored on a pass from Seumus Coleman to give Everton the lead. Kouyate equalized in the 26th minute. He equalized with a header from Andros Townsend’s corner kick.
Richardson scored in the 40th minute to give Everton the lead again. Richardson scored on a penalty after a Crystal Palace player had a hand in the penalty area. After that neither team scored any more goals in the second half and Crystal Palace lost 2-1. With this victory, Everton has risen to the top of the table by adding nine points in three games of the league. This is Crystal Palace’s first defeat. Palace has six points from three games.
