Google has introduced a new feature called Covid in its Map app
Rabindra Dhungel, 25 september 2020. Google has introduced a new feature called Covid in its Map app. Under this, a new feature has been added to inform the users that new cases of covid infection are not increasing in the new place where they are traveling. In particular, the company has released a new layer for maps. The map details an average of seven days of new covid infections per 100,000 people.
It also notes that the number of infections has increased or decreased. This layer collects data from various sources such as Johns Hopkins University, New York Times and Wikipedia.
These sources also draw data from the World Health Organization, the national government and hospitals in their area. This new layer works for 220 countries around the world.
Starting this week, it will be available on both iOS and Android.
