Deepak Bhattarai, president of the Regional Hotel Association Sauraha, said that even though the hotel was open, not many tourists came. He said, “As domestic flights and park activities have started from today, there is hope.”

 

 

 

 

He estimates that tourists will gradually start arriving after September 25. He estimates that there will be a good flow of tourists as they are reaching ten years ahead as domestic tourists are calling from various places.

Sanitation and preparation has been started in the restaurants in Sauraha. According to Dipendra Khatiwada, president of Restaurant and Bar Association Sauraha, everyone has started preparations for the opening on September 25. He estimates that the number of tourists will increase as soon as domestic flights and tourist activities start.

Chief Conservation Officer of Chitwan National Park, Annath Baral, said that elephant entry into the community forest has been opened from today. In the Kumroz and Baghmara Chitrashen intermediate community forests of Sauraha, tourists are taken for a ride on elephants.

 

 

 

 

 

Boat rides are also done in those forest areas. According to Baral, a walk (jungle walk) has also been opened in the park. He informed that the jeep safari will be allowed by repairing the road soon.

The hotels that had been closed since March 26 were reopened on July 30 but were reopened on July 31. There are 110 hotels in Sauraha. Similarly, there are about 100 restaurants, large and small. More than 5,500 workers have been directly employed in various sectors in Sauraha hotels.

Internal flight started

Domestic flights have started at Bharatpur Airport from today. The flight, which was closed on March 26, has resumed from today. From here, Yati Airlines and Buddha Air have started flying.
