Rabindra Dhungel, 23 september 2020. Tribhuvan University (TU) is preparing to conduct the examinations which were stopped due to Kovid-19. A meeting of the TRIB Executive Council, Examination Reform and Coordination Council and the Central Examination Steering Committee on Tuesday decided to direct the concerned office to prepare for the conduct of the suspended examinations.
According to Pushparaj Joshi, Controller of Examinations of the Examination Control Office (Panika), Trivi has instructed the students to start preparing for the examination as soon as possible.
Trivi has even written to the concerned dean’s office to make public the schedule of the examination ten years in advance so that all the examinations which were stopped due to Covid-19 could be held immediately. TU said the exams, which have few students, could be held between Dashain and Tihar.
“In the current situation, we are preparing to take the exam after Chhath,” he said. He informed that Panika would issue a circular to all dean’s offices today to start preparations for the examination.
Trivi will arrange for examinations based on physical distance and health criteria. Panika will take the annual examination and the semester examination will be conducted by the concerned dean’s office. Tribhuvan University Registrar Prof Dr Peshal Dahal informed that the concerned office has been instructed to prepare for conducting all the postponed examinations.
“We have instructed all the concerned offices to make necessary preparations for the conduct of the examination as soon as possible,” he said.
We have asked the students to take the exam physically. ” Trivi is still conducting low-key exams. He said that the examination will be conducted first and then other examinations will be conducted.
Similarly, Trivi has discussed about conducting a virtual exam for the semester, but it has not been decided yet. Controller of Examinations, Joshi, said that some dean’s offices would make the semester system examination virtual, but now they would conduct the examination with physical attendance of the students. Due to COVID-19, some universities have taken open books and taken exams through virtual method.
Registrar Prof. Dr. Dahal informed that he is preparing to conduct the study from next March after completing all the examinations by January. Due to Kovid-19, all the examinations conducted from Tribhuvan University have been postponed. TU is still conducting examinations with very low physical distance.
