Bangalore’s brilliant winning start in the IPL, today Rajasthan and Chennai will meet
Rabindra Dhungel, 22 september 2020. Royal Challengers Bangalore have made a winning start in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL-T) Twenty20 cricket in the UAE. Bangalore got off to a winning start by defeating Sunrisers
Hyderabad by 10 runs in last night’s match. After chasing the target of 164 runs set by Bangalore at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad were bowled out for 153 in 19 overs with four balls to spare.
Johnny Bairstow’s 61-run half-century for Hyderabad did not help the team win. Similarly, Manish Pandey scored 34 runs and Priyam Garg scored 12 runs. Captain David Warner was out for 6 runs.
Yujbhendra Chahal of Hyderabad took 3 wickets. Shivam Dubey and Nabhadip Saini took 2 and 2 wickets respectively. Dale Steyn took one wicket. Earlier, losing the toss and batting first, Bangalore lost 5 wickets in 20 overs and scored 163 runs.
Devadatta Padikkal and AB de Villiers played half-centuries for Bangalore. Debutant Padikkal played an excellent 56-run innings for Bangalore. Padikkal, 20, shared a 90-run stand with Aaron Finch for the first wicket.
Finch was out for 29 runs. Similarly, de Villiers played a half-century innings of 51 runs. Captain Virat Kohli was dismissed for 14 while Shivam Dubey scored seven runs. Vijay Shankar, Thangarasu Natarajan and Avishek Sharma of Hyderabad took 1 and 1 wickets respectively. The competition will be between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings today.
