Rabindra Dhungel, 21 september 2020. Nepal Telecom has implemented a project to provide interest free loans to consumers. Telecom will provide interest free loans to prepaid customers.
Now, Telecom’s prepaid mobile users will be freed from the hassle of running out of money. Telecom will automatically put the money in the customer’s account if it is cut off while calling. The amount will be deducted after the consumer recharges. Service charges will not be charged.
Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Gonkul Banskota inaugurated the Namaste credit service during a program on Friday morning. The Development Committee of the then Legislature-Parliament had directed Telecom to operate the loan service.
Accordingly, the telco had launched the soft launch of Namaste Credit Service on January 7.
