Money imported from abroad for online transactions will be remitted to Nepal’s bank account
By Rabindra Dhungel, 18 september 2020. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has introduced an arrangement for remittance of remittances from abroad to Nepali bank accounts for online transactions. The bank has issued a notice to bring money to Nepal from abroad through legal method by bringing various online payment services and the facility to save money directly in Nepal’s banks.
It is believed that this arrangement will help in converting foreign money into Nepali. Money coming from money orders and other unauthorized means has now created a big problem.
According to the bank’s information, the money received from the sale of information technology related skills, the money received from placing materials on social media and the money received from retail international business transactions will be brought from the banking system.
