Snapchat brings video camera to glasses
By Rabindra Dhungel, 17 september 2020. Snapchat, which is becoming popular as a mobile chat app, has also started producing hardware for the first time. Snapchat has unveiled glasses called ‘Spectacles’. The glasses, which are set to hit the market in December, are targeted at Snapchat users.
Not all features of Spectacles have been made public. But it will have a wide angle camera. The camera can capture a maximum of 30 seconds of video each time. Photos and videos taken will be transferred to the smartphone via Bluetooth.
The company has stated that the battery lasts for a day after being charged once. The price of these glasses has also been made public at 130 US dollars.
Earlier, the glasses brought by Google to the market were not as successful as expected. Google glasses are priced at ५ 1,500. Spectacles are expected to attract many due to their price.
