See how to avoid being added to any group without your permission on WhatsApp
Rabindra Dhungel, 17 september 2020. On WhatsApp, anyone can add you to any group without your permission. Some of these groups are really kind. Unnecessary notifications add to the hassle. So you have the group left facility, but in doing so, the fear of being considered bad by the person doing the ad is on the other side.
If you use a little trick you can get rid of all these hassles. WhatsApp has recently upgraded its group invitation feature. Which will prevent you from adding unwanted groups to the roof. Even after the new upgrade, anyone can add you to the WhatsApp group.
But to prevent yourself from joining such groups, you have to adjust the settings yourself through this feature. You can also customize it for a specific contact number. WhatsApp’s new Group Invitation feature is available for both Android and iOS smartphone users.
How to use?
To use this feature, first check if your WhatsApp is up to date. If not, update the app. You can see this feature in Settings in the updated app. Through which you can enable it.
For Android
– On Android smartphone, first go to groups by setting your WhatsApp account, privacy.
-There you will see three options to control group invitations in privacy settings.
– From this, you can choose between Avrivan (anyone can add), My Contact (you can only add because you are in contact) and Nobody (no one can add).
On iphone
-Open WhatsApp on your iPhone first.
-Now choose privacy by having an account.
-Select the groups there.
-In that you can see the options of Android, My Contact and Nobody like in Android.
-You can decide who to add to the WhatsApp group or not.
