Rabindra Dhungel, 13 september 2020. Students studying in class 12 will be able to take exams from the nearest school where they live. Preparations are underway to conduct the Class 12 examination, which was postponed last April due to corona virus infection, as the best option for students to take the exam from a nearby school.

Due to Corona, the students have reached the village from the school in the city where they studied, so they are thinking of an alternative to a house. Prof. Dr. Chandra Mani Poudel, Chairman of the National Examination Board, informed that the details of the students have been taken as this model is also seen as a good option for conducting the postponed class 12 examinations.

The search for students began
The board is collecting details of how many of the students who have filled up the examination forms to participate in the annual class 12 examination are living in a different district or place from the district where the school where they are currently studying due to the epidemic. As the government has given permission for conducting the examination immediately, there is not enough time to prepare for the examination, said Poudel.

It is said that it will be easy to find out which student has settled in which district, town or ward and take the exam easily. It has been stated that the real condition of the student has to be ascertained for the management of the answer script, question paper, selection of the examination center etc. The school has been requested to inform the provincial office of the board about this issue.

If the school operates up to class 12, the student will be able to take the test from the nearest school where he / she resides. The board has clarified that the class 12 examination will be conducted from various options and has also sought approval from the government. Poudel informed that the board has made internal preparations to conduct the examination in any way approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

Phased examination
The board has also proposed to postpone the Class 12 examination in the country in phases due to the spread of corona virus, but they will move forward according to the agreement and approval given by the government, said Chairman Poudel. The board plans to take the exam in different parts of the country in phases but to publish the results at once. It has been stated that publishing the results from time to time is cumbersome and has to be done at once.

According to today’s Gorkhapatra, the board is ready to make the schedule public by giving time to the students in three weeks if the government gives permission for conducting the examination.
