Viber users in the Philippines, Myanmar, Hungary and Ukraine averaged 56, 62, 27 and 23 percent, respectively, according to the survey.
Users also report using both versions of Viber for educational purposes.
Western European countries such as the United Kingdom, France and Germany, as well as other countries in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and North Africa, were also surveyed.
According to a survey conducted by Viber in Nepal, 70.9 percent have suggested using the new academic term Viber app or tablet device.
Most of the participants in the survey said that they will use Viber to communicate not only with students and teachers but also with parents in the coming school session.
According to research conducted by Viber internally earlier this year, by the end of last academic session, 65 percent of teachers in eight Central and Eastern European countries used Viber as a tool to assist in classroom communication.
