Government will provide free internet to the students ]
Rabindra Dhungel, 11 september 2020. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has decided to provide free internet service to the students from September. The ministerial decision passed on August 6 states that the Ministry of Education should provide free internet in the Student Learning Facilitation Guide. For this, the ministry has stated that it is cooperating with the organizations providing internet services in the country.
For that, the students will be provided with data packs to run the net for free or at the convenience of internet service providers including Nepal Telecom, Ncell and Smartcell.
Due to the Corona epidemic, the education of students living at home has been badly affected. Although online classes have been conducted in some areas, this has not been possible in every area. Some students are in the field of not only internet but also phone service is not working well. Whose studies have been affected. In this regard, the Ministry of Education has given instructions to its subordinate organizations with effect from September 20.
After the schools and students complained that the online classroom has been affected due to the high cost of internet, the ministry has mentioned that free internet should be provided. There are complaints that buying data and studying online classes is very expensive.
