As the market grows, giant companies are investing in internet services. With the Corona epidemic, the number of people working from home has increased and the number of Internet users has increased day by day. Bandwidth consumption has increased, while ISP’s business has gained momentum.
Giant company added among suppliers, how will the old ISP survive in the market?
The new company’s investment has begun to threaten Internet service providers (ISPs), which have traditionally provided services, and have created an environment for consumers to have access to accessible and quality Internet. With the arrival of the new company, challenges have been added for the major internet service providers in the Nepali market, including WorldLink, Suvisu, Classic Tech and Vinet.
Ncell, the largest private sector mobile service provider, and Dishome, a television channel provider, have aggressively launched Internet services. After both of them came up with attractive offers, the pressure on the old company to please the customers has increased. Ncell is offering ‘Wire Free WiFi’ service. Ncell has stated that consumers can use the internet from a wireless router with a bundle of two SIMs.
The company is providing wire free WiFi in three packages. Gold, Platinum and Diamond packages are stated by Ncell. Gold will have a monthly price of Rs 690 and will have 60 GB of data, according to Ncell. With the purchase of this package, consumers also get Prabhu TV and expensive music services.
Similarly, the monthly price of the Platinum package will be Rs. Ncell has stated that Prabhu TV, Mobiplex, Hungama and expensive music services can be found in the Diamond package with 100 GB of data. Its monthly price is Rs 950, according to the company. Ncell has stated that these prices will be received by the consumers only after paying the annual fee (420 days) and VAT will have to be paid separately.
Dishome has also launched ‘Dishome Fiber Net’ in various places in the valley. Ramesh Sapkota, general manager of Dishome, claimed that Dishome was providing internet and TV services separately. Sapkota said that a dedicated internet line has been provided as there will be problems in providing internet and TV services from the same cable.
