The Hindustan Times writes that he remembers on his Twitter account how he spent his days in 2000 hoping to meet director Sudhir on the set of the film ‘Calcutta Mail’.

 

 

 

 

 

Recalling the incident at the time, Nawazuddin wrote, “The Calcutta Mail film was being shot. An assistant director of the film promised to introduce me to director Sudhir Mishra. He told me to come to the film set but only after I raised my hand.

 

 

 

 

 

 

That’s how I got to the set. I waited in the crowd. The assistant director would raise his hand and I would go and meet director Sudhir. ‘At that time, Nawazuddin had a great desire to meet director Sudhir.

Explaining the incident, he added, “About an hour later, the assistant director raised his hand. And I quickly made my way out of the crowd and reached his chair. Director Mishraji was next to him. Seeing me, the assistant director asked, “What have you done?” I replied, “You raised your hand, so I came.” He said again, “I raised my hand to marry.” Go now Come back after I raise my hand.
