Pashupatinath
Pashupatinath Temple is an important historical, religious and tourist site in Kathmandu district. This temple is located in Kampa Ward No. 8 of Kathmandu District on the banks of Bagmati River. The temple is spread over 240 hectares of land. Pashupatinath Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In 1979, UNESCO listed the Pashupatinath Temple as a World Heritage Site. The temple area of Pashupatinath looks like an open museum as it is the oldest religious site in the Kathmandu Valley and has very ancient shrines, temples and statues and ancient records.
For devotees of major sects like Shaivism, Shakti, Vaishnavism, Buddhism, Jainism, Ganapat, Nath Sikh, etc., the Pashupati region has always been a center of equal faith and reverence.
