On the occasion of Putrada Ekadashi, thousands of devotees have taken a dip in Gosainkunda and worshiped Lord Shiva. The businessman who runs the hotel near the pond said.
According to the senior citizen, the couple who wished for a son reached Gosainkund on the day of Putrada Ekadashi and prayed for the next day.
According to religious beliefs, all the deities from all over the world visit the holy shrine of Gosainkunda on the day of Janapurnima on the 30th of Janapurnima and offer flowers to the deity on that day.
It is also believed that one should not chant any mantra on the day of Janai Purnima, which is worn according to one’s own tradition.
Stating that 15,000 devotees are expected to reach Gosainkunda in the special festival starting from today till December 12, Sanjeev DM, chairman of Gosainkunda Area Development Committee, said that most of the thousands of passengers bathing in the Putrada Ekadashi festival have found a couple of couples.
Passengers have said that they can reach Deurali area in one day after starting their journey from Kathmandu as there is a motor facility from Kathmandu to Dhunche to go to Gosainkund.
After bathing and worshiping in Gosainkunda, it is believed that the diseases of the body will be removed, all the sins committed in ignorance will be saved, new vigor and new awakening will increase. The committee has requested all the passengers to travel to Gosaikunda with confidence as the number of doctors for emergency treatment has increased this year as compared to the previous year and there are various additional arrangements for the rescue of the passengers.
