Rabindra Dhungel, 31 august 2020. Captain Eoin Morgan and David Malan batted brilliantly as England beat Pakistan by five wickets in the second match of the T20 series.
Batting first, England met the huge target of 196 runs set by Pakistan by losing 5 wickets in 19.1 overs. Morgan scored 66 runs while Malan played an innings of 54 runs. Morgan hit six fours and sixes off 33 balls while Malan hit six fours and one six off 36 balls.
Morgan and Malan shared a 112-run stand for the third wicket. Baisto scored 44 off 24 balls while Banton scored 20 runs. Pakistan’s Shadab Khan took 3 wickets and Harris Rauf took 2 wickets. Earlier, Pakistan had scored 195 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated overs.
For him, Mohammad Hafeez and captain Babar Azam played half-century innings. Hafeez hit 5 fours and 4 sixes in 36 balls and scored 69 runs while Azam scored 56 runs in 44 balls with the help of 7 fours. Similarly, Fakhar Zaman scored 36 runs. Adil Rashid of England took 2 wickets.
England have also taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20 series. The first T20 was canceled due to rain. The third and final T20 will be played in Manchester on Tuesday.
