[ANNISU handed over a memorandum to the Minister of Education not to waste the academic session]

Rabindra Dhungel, 30 August 2020. The ruling CPN (Maoist) has handed over a 21-point memorandum to Education Minister Giriraj Mani Pokhrel by email today.
In the memorandum, ANNISU has demanded not to waste the academic session under any circumstances, to take exams through alternative means and to review and monitor the Learning Facilitation Directive 077 and make it a part of the academic session. The memorandum has separate demands for school education and school education and university level.
Such are the demands of ANNISU.
1. To adopt alternative learning system and examination system through special decision so that this year’s academic session will be maintained at school level in all cases.
2. To maintain the online medium or physical distance under the supervision of the local level and to ensure the safe enrollment of students and systematic documentation of class progress.
3. Based on the access to resources, the local level and the concerned school will identify and categorize the students who do not have access to all technologies, have access to radio / FM, have access to television, have computer / mobile but do not have online access and have access to internet. To manage effectively.
4. To carry out systematic and scientific review and monitoring of the Student Learning Facilitation Guideline 077 through the alternative system implemented by the Ministry of Education on June 20 and make it a part of the formal academic session.
5. To start reading immediately after Dashantihar by modifying the school level curriculum and curriculum in the new context. If the Carina epidemic is under control, the school will run smoothly and if not comfortable, online and various alternative learning processes will be promoted.
6. To prepare for the class 12K examination by arranging a home center in the month of August. To conduct the examination as soon as possible by arranging a home center if it is convenient. For that, 50 percent assessment will be done on the basis of class 11 and the remaining 50 percent online viber and open book exam will be adopted.
7. Special arrangements will be made to reach the students who still do not have textbooks.
8. To create an educational environment, to disinfect the schools with isolation and quarantine and to make alternative arrangements for quarantine.
9. To determine and implement the fees of online classes in the case of institutional schools. However, it is not allowed to charge unnecessary fees for the facilities and titles not taken by the students.
10. To recruit special manpower with special qualifications for special education including online education on contract basis and to make arrangements for recruitment of volunteer teachers.
11. To postpone the SEE grading criteria set for this year for admission in class 11, to make arrangements for admission according to last year’s criteria. University level
12. To start preparation of alternative study and examination system in all the universities including Tribhuvan University so that this year’s academic session will be maintained.
13. To provide the right to prepare and operate online and alternative class and examination system to the concerned department and dean’s office. To make special arrangements for teaching and examination in relation to the faculty.
14. To automatically upgrade the semester in case of reading and to conduct examinations for all the remaining semesters in a convenient time.
15. To implement special and alternative system in the case of final examination also.
16. To appoint officials in the vacant universities as soon as possible
17. The government will target students and provide Wi-Fi in all educational institutions and NTC and Ncell data packs for students.
18. All the universities will bring the subordinate colleges in contact with all their students and regularize the teaching and learning through alternative learning.
19. Pre-preparation of measures to prevent carina virus infection in all educational institutions.
