Rabindra Dhungel, 24 august 2020. Gold prices have dropped by 500 per ounce today. Gold, which was traded at Rs 98,400 per tola yesterday, is set at Rs 97,900 per tola today. According to the Federation of Nepali Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs, the price of gold has declined in the international market along with the appreciation of the US dollar.
Similarly, the price of silver has also declined today. The price of silver, which was Rs 1,345 per tola yesterday, has been reduced by Rs 25 per tola to Rs 1,320 today.
However, the gold and silver business has come to a standstill due to lockouts and bans in most parts of the country as the risk of Cavid 19 infection has increased.
