[Prepared in 5 modalities of NEB to conduct class 12 examination. Discussion started]

The Board has put forward five modalities in consultation with various stakeholders and experts. The board has put forward a new modality for conducting class 12 examination which has been postponed for five months.
The question papers being prepared in the modality put forward by the board will be sent to the state examination office and the examination will be conducted with the center in the school. Similarly, discussions have been held on the modalities of conducting the examination online by preparing question papers under the open book system, evaluating the internal examination of class 12 and conducting the examination on the basis of class 11 examination.
The board is preparing to review the marks given by the school, test the answer scripts of the students who have given high marks on the basis of need and give the marks again. Chairman of the Board, Prada Chandra Mani Poudel, said that no decision has been taken on the basis of conducting the examination after discussions on the five modalities. He said, “We are in the process of discussions. We will prepare a report with modalities and submit it to the minister as soon as the ban is lifted in the Kathmandu Valley. We will conduct the examination based on the instructions given by the ministry.” Is The Board is preparing to hold discussions with the representatives of student unions, organizations, Hisan and some representative organizations.
Some experts advising the board argued that there was no need to panic right now. Some suggested taking the exam online and some in pieces. The board is collecting and writing everyone’s suggestions and is preparing to submit them to the ministry within a few days. The board has made up its mind not to take the exam a decade ago after it was suggested that the exam should not be held in a hurry even if the university is unable to do so. Most of them have suggested to take the exam at home center.
Suggestion not to give final assessment to school
The National Examination Board (NEB) in a virtual discussion on the modalities of conducting the Class 12 examination, which has been postponed since April, has suggested that most of the primary school teachers and teachers should not be given the right to make a final assessment. Most of the schools had given 4 GPA to their students after giving them the right to make final assessment while publishing the SEE results.
Most of the students were given 4 GPA by the capital and the country’s renowned schools in the name of passing the students. According to the statistics, in 2072 BS, 2 people had 4 GPA. By increasing that number, 9 thousand 19 people got 4 GPA this year. Experts have suggested that the school should never be given the right to make a final assessment as the school has made such a choice. Similarly, in 2073, 4, in 2074, 74 and in 2075, 106 students had passed with 4 GPA. Chairman of the Board, Prada Chandra Mani Poudel, said that the final assessment of class 12 will be taken by the Aadhaar Board based on the suggestions of experts.
