Breaking: [ Scientists created the world’s fastest internet]
Rabindra Dhungel, 23 august 2020. Researchers at University College London have set a new record for the world’s fastest internet.
That speed was 178 terabytes per second (TBPS) or 178,000 GB per second. Neighboring India has an average internet speed of 2 MB per second.
The project was initiated by Dr. of the Royal Academy of Engineering. Prepared by Lydia Galdino, Extra and Kiddy Research. Earlier, the world’s fastest internet was registered in Australia. At that time, the internet speed was 44.2 TBS. At present, the registered speed is four times higher.
What you can do with such high speed internet is you can download everything on Netflix in just one second.
To achieve such high-speed Internet, the researchers applied high-range wavelengths instead of optic fiber and boosted the signal remotely using new technology. It is natural to assume that it will cost a lot to achieve such a fast pace. However, researchers say that using this technology is cheaper than using optic fiber.
However, the technology is still in use and the general public is unlikely to be able to use it anytime soon.
