Rabindra Dhungel, 22 august 2020. The world is no longer ignorant of YouTube. Everyone who uses the internet knows about it. It has been 15 years since the video was uploaded on this platform. Founded in February 2005, the video was first uploaded to YouTube on April 23.
What is this video? How was Everyone is interested. Today we are giving information about that. YouTube co-founder Javed Karim first uploaded an 18-second video to YouTube. In the video titled ‘Me at the zoo’, Karim included a scene of himself going to the zoo. Then began the journey.
The first video to be uploaded to YouTube has been viewed 90 million times so far. And, another interesting fact is that no other video has been uploaded on Karim’s YouTube channel so far. Karim has said in the video. “It simply came to our notice then. Now we are in front of the elephants. The most interesting thing about these animals is that they have very long teeth. And, that’s really cool. ‘Now the most talked about thing on the YouTube channel is the request to subscribe to my channel, like and comment on the content. But there is no such request in Karim’s video.
He ended his video by saying that is all he has to say now. YouTube reached its peak of popularity shortly after the first video was uploaded. Within a year, Karim and his founding friends sold YouTube for अर्ब 1.65 billion. Internet giant Google bought YouTube. YouTube is now the most used video platform in the world. YouTube currently has 2 billion monthly active users. However, in the last decade and a half, YouTube has gone through many ups and downs.
At one point, YouTube was widely criticized for its offensive and hateful videos of racist whites. Similarly, the racist and anti-Semitic activities of some YouTube stars as well as the frustration of some of the creators have hurt YouTube. But now YouTube has become a common bag of all kinds of useful content. Videos are now viewed on YouTube for a total of 1 billion hours daily. And, it started with billions of hours from the same 18-second video uploaded by Karim, the founder of YouTube.
