Rabindra Dhungel, 22 august 2020. Instagram has just added a QR code to the mobile app as a new feature. In addition, Instagram users will be able to create their own Instagram QR code.

The profile can be viewed by scanning such QR through any third party scanner. This feature is available to all Instagram users.

Earlier, the company had started it from Japan. The company says the feature has been rolled out to users around the world in response to tests in Japan.

The purpose of this is to enable the business house to print and keep the QR code of their Instagram. So that the users of the company can easily access the company’s Instagram account.

In the case of personal accounts, the company believes that it will be easier to follow and view each other’s accounts. To use this new feature, the user has to go to the settings of Instagram and click on the option called QR code. Clicking on it will create a QR of your Instagram account.

The QR can be saved or even shared. Earlier, the company had released a feature called ‘Nametag’. Which was an internal system like QR code. It had the facility to be scanned only from Insta’s camera. Which the company has already shut down many saying it failed.
