Rabindra Dhungel, 20 August 2020. As in previous years, Nepal Telecom will provide free SIMs with offers to SEE students after the publication of SEE results. Telecom will provide SIM with student offer pack free of cost from Nepal Telecom counters across the country. Also, if any student already has a SIM of Nepal Telecom, the telco has made an arrangement to provide the offer in the same SIM.
In order to get a new SIM, students have to fill the form by attaching a photocopy of the SEE admission card, a photocopy and a photocopy of their or their parent’s citizenship or other identity card. After receiving the SIM, in order to receive the offers, dial 816003 from the new mobile number and mention the symbol number and date of birth (Vikram Samvat) as per the instructions received.
After activating the newly acquired SIM card, they will get 100 MB of data, 350 minutes of talk time and 150 SMS per month for 10 minutes of daily conversation and 5 SMS and 100 MB of data within the network of Nepal Telecom under the Student Registration Pack Scheme.
In the new SIM, Rs. When recharging 50 or more amount, each recharge will be able to run 500 MB of data at any time, 50 minutes call within Nepal Telecom’s network and 50 SMS sending bonus facility will also be available. This bonus facility should be used within 3 days. The facility available after each recharge can be used for a period of one year.
As it will not be easy to attend the company’s office due to the difficult situation caused by Covid 19, the students will provide various packs to the mobile number of Nepal Telecom which they are already using.
For this, you have to dial 816003 from the mobile of the company you are already using and mention the symbol number and date of birth as per the instructions received. Nepal Telecom then registers the SIM as a student SIM based on the information received. Student registration pack can be easily obtained from the SIM card registered in this way.
For SEE students, the company will also provide free e-learning packages as per the demand on the SIM cards provided free of cost or already converted into student SIMs. The e-learning package provided earlier can be used only from 5 am to 10 am and now it can be used from 5 am to 5 pm.
Students who get a new SIM will be able to make calls, send SMS or use data to any network from the Rs 10 available as main balance on the SIM card. Apart from this, they will be able to use the facility including 40 minutes talk time and 20 SMS in Nepal Telecom’s network within a month. Similarly, 60 MB of data can also be used in the same period. The SIM with these offers will be available for three months now.
