Mayor’s Forum orders to stop public transport and start lockdown.
Rabindra Dhungel,12 august 2020. A meeting of the Valley Municipal Forum has suggested the government to suspend public transport till Bhadra 15 after the outbreak of corona virus started increasing in the Kathmandu valley .
The decision was taken saying that the transition rate has accelerated after the public transport was fully operational.
Considering the high risk of infection at the local level in the Kathmandu Valley, it has been decided to stop the flow of services from the local level except for essential services for 21 days.
It has been decided to strictly follow the precautionary measures in the area and bring it under the scope of action by monitoring it regularly as there is a high risk area for Covid-19 infection in commercial areas and shopping malls, hotels, restaurants etc. .
In the meeting, it was mentioned that there is a danger of Corona infection reaching the community level in the Kathmandu Valley. It has requested the government to fully control the illegal and unauthorized entry and exit of people from such departure points.
