Good news for students : seminars are being held for the purpose of identifying talents

STEM Foundation Nepal is going to conduct a nationwide seminar with the campaign to provide information about the International Olympiad and increase student participation in the competition.
The seminar is being organized at the province level with the cooperation of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) and facilitation of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, said Surgeon BC, Founder Chairman of the Foundation. According to him, a one-day program is being organized in the state in collaboration with Science Teachers Society Nepal, TU Science Research Center, PABSON, NPABSON and others. Participants can register for the event through the STEM Foundation’s website and Facebook page.
The program will be held on shrawan 26 in Province 1, shrawan 30 in Province 2, shrawan 32 in Gandaki, Bhadra 2 in Province 5, Bhadra 4 in Karnali and Bhadra 7 in Far West. In Bagmati, the seminar has already been held on shrawan 15 . Minister for Education Giriraj Mani Pokhrel, Minister for Education in the state and others will participate in the program, according to the foundation.
For the first time, Nepal has participated in the Olympiad competition in the international arena. After that, Nepal has been participating in about a dozen international Olympiads through mathematics, astronomy, biology and chemistry.
In the past, only science subjects were used for participation, but now Nepal is participating in other subjects as well. The Olympiad in Mathematics was started from Romania in 1959, but Nepal showed its presence in the international arena only in Physics in 2006. It is certain that Nepal will participate in the entire International Olympiad by 2020, said VC.
Four to six people will be able to participate in the International Olympiad thematically for which a national competition is mandatory.
