The price of gold exceeded one lakh three thousand per ounce
By Rabindra Dhungel, Kathmandu, Fri, 7 Aug 2020 . The price of gold and silver, which has been volatile in the international market due to the global epidemic of Covid-19 (Corona virus), has risen unexpectedly in the local market even today.
The price of gold, which is rising in an unpredictable manner, has also gone up on Friday. The yellow metal, which was traded at Rs 102,500 per ounce on Thursday, has risen by Rs 1,100 today. As soon as the market opened, the price of gold in circulation stood at Rs. 13,500 per ounce, while the price of acid gold of the same amount was fixed at Rs. 103,000 per ounce.
According to the Federation of Gold and Silver Entrepreneurs of Nepal, the price of silver has increased by Rs 60 today as compared to Thursday. The price of one tola of white metal has been fixed at Rs 1,405 today. The price of one tola of gold had risen by Rs. 10,400 to Rs. Since then, the price of gold has been rising steadily. Gold traded at 2,061.51 an ounce and silver at 28.49 an ounce in international trade on Friday.
