Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is sure to play in CPL
Rabindra Dhungel, Kathmandu, Fri, 7 Aug 2020 . Famous Nepali young cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has been confirmed to play in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). His CPL trip was in confusion a few days ago as it was unlikely that the air ticket would be finalized on time.
Raman Siwakoti, a video analyst in the Nepali national cricket team, tweeted that Sandeep’s CPL journey has been confirmed. Sandeep will fly to the Caribbean on a Korean chartered flight on July 30 and will also arrive on August 1, said Siwakoti, who is also Sandeep’s manager.
Sandeep, who is preparing to play in the CPL for the third season, has been signed by Jamaican Talawaj for 90,000 US dollars this season. This season’s CPL is being held in Trinidad and Tobago from August 18 to September 10. According to ICC rules, Sandeep will be allowed to participate in the club’s training only after being in quarantine for 14 days. Sandeep’s team will start the tournament on August 19 against St. Lucia Jukes.
Siwakoti wrote on Twitter, “Sandeep has decided to play in the CPL. He will leave for the Caribbean on July 30 on a Korean Chartered Flight to join the CPL and arrive there on August 1, “Siwakoti wrote.” Thank you very much to everyone who helped make this difficult task possible.
