The Supreme Court ordered the Houseowners not to take rent

Rabindra Dhungel, Fri, 23 Julm 2020 . 9 days after the lockdown was removed , the Supreme Court has issued an order in the name of the houseowners not to take rent. But many Houseowners have already taken rent. The government had carried out a four-month nationwide strike to protect the people from the Corona epidemic.

 

 

Now, the Supreme Court has ordered not to take rent from Chaitra 11 to Shrawan 6. Hearing the writ petition filed by Gajendra Thakur on behalf of the OBC Federation, the Supreme Court has issued an interim order in the name of the government and the Chief Minister of the all province.

 

 

A bench of justices Tej Bahadur KC and Kumar Regmi issued the interim order. A writ was filed on behalf of the barber’s union saying that all the workers could not pay the rent as they did not earn any income during this period. Thakur had filed a writ petition on Asar 21 demanding exemption from rent. The apex court issued the interim order after debating the writ petition by both the side.

 

Many people in Nepal have also been affected by corona virus. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has issued an order in the name of landlords not to take rent during the lockdown period.
