Rabindra Dhungel, Fri, 23 Julm 2020 . Work on the new academic session is scheduled to start from Bhadra 1. The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has directed the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to facilitate the educational activities of the schools that are closed due to COVID-19 in compliance with the standards of public health and safety . The directive sent by the Council of Ministers to the Ministry of Education after verifying the decision states that the work of the new academic session should be done from Bhadra 1.

 

In the certified decisions sent by the Council of Ministers, the teachers have been directed to go to the school compulsorily and from Bhadra 1, the number of new students has been fixed and the number of students enrolled has to be filled.

The Council of Ministers has also decided to make arrangements for the teachers to reach the school before Bhadra 1 to conduct the educational activities of the school and to provide textbooks to the students studying in the new academic session immediately.

 

The Council of Ministers has decided not to conduct quarantine and isolation activities in the school building and premises and to purify the school buildings which are no longer used as quarantine and isolation as per the prescribed criteria and make them suitable for teaching.

 

Likewise, the Council of Ministers has also decided not to put structures related to the prevention and control of COVID-19 within the school and school premises and in a way that would adversely affect the student movement or close to the school area.

In order to facilitate the conduct of educational activities of the school following the public health standards and safety standards of the schools that are closed due to COVID-19, the following should be done:

 

(A) To publish the results of the academic session 2076 if it is yet to be published
(B) To enroll new students from 1st Bhadra, 2077 BS and to ensure the numerical details of the students in class wise, to fill the educational statistics of the enrolled students.
(C) To make available textbooks to the students studying in the new academic session if any.
(D) To make arrangements for the school and teachers to go to school for conducting the educational activities of the school.

(E) The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology will issue a working framework for the reopening of schools.
(F) Not to conduct quarantine and isolation works in school buildings and premises. To purify the school buildings which are no longer used as quarantine and isolation as per the prescribed criteria and make them suitable for teaching and learning.

(G) To prevent COVID-19 prevention and control structures within the school and school premises and in such a way as to adversely affect the student movement or near the school premises.
