The policeman’s hand was cut off . The incident took place in a lockdown on Sunday in Punjab, India,  a policeman’s hand cut off and another six policemen injured in the attack. Harjeet Singh, who was Assistant Sub Inspector in Punjab Police, was attacked with a sword. The arm is attached after a seven and a half hour long surgery.
According to a top government official, a vehicle carrying six members of the Sikh community was stopped at a police barricade in front of a vegetable market in Patiala district. One of them had pulled his sword and cut his hands after the dispute after demanding a pass with them. He also attacked other policemen. Then they attacked other policemen as well. The injured policemen were taken to Chandigarh State Hospital.

I would like to thank the doctors team and the support staff for their efforts. I wish Harjit Singh a speedy recovery, ‘state Chief Minister Amarinder Singh informed via tweet. He vowed that such behavior against the police would not be tolerated and strict action would be taken against the culprit. He also warned that non-lockdown would be taken.
Meanwhile, police have arrested seven accused after an hour-long operation at a local gurudwara. An investigation is under way. Lockdown has been implemented in India till April 1st. In Punjab, lockdown has been added till the end of April. So far 1 coronavirus has been found infected in Punjab and two have died.
