Man adopts self-quarantine in Jhapa
At a time when the government has taken sweeping measures to avoid COVID-19 in the country, a person returned to Bhadrapur of Jhapa from Thailand has adopted self-quarantine. Hailing his decision, the Public Health Office has provided technical assistance to him. The man of 37-year had arrived here via Biratnagar after a flight from Kathmandu yesterday. He informed the crisis management committee at Bhadrapur municipality that he wanted to go for self-quarantine.
Officer at the Public Health Office, Jivan Chaulagain, and a team from a local crisis management committee reached the person’s home. His health was however normal. Officer Chaulagain said, “He was aware of pandemic and we provided goods necessary for him to adopt the self-quarantine at his home.”
He had been Thailand for personal work 20 days back. Although he was requested to stay in quarantine at Ward No 8 set up by the committee, he wanted it at home. So, he was facilitated for it.
